The Next Netbooks' Pocessor: Intel Atom N450

Intel has announced the successor of current Intel Atom N270 for mini-laptops or netbooks. Codenamed Pine Trail, the new processor, Intel Atom N450, will be more power efficient. Its speed also be increased, but as not high as we hope. Intel Atom N450 is single-core CPU and will be clocked at 1.66 GHz.

But many mini-laptop vendors are not so antusiast in responding to the announcement. It is due to the global recession, left many vendors with high inventory volumes. Mini-laptop demand in the first half of 2009 were far from many vendors expectations.
